I joined the JET Program (Japan Exchange and Teaching), after spending two months studying history, language, and culture in Kyoto and Tokyo during a semester in school. I am a 2012 graduate of Principia College in Elsah, IL where I majored in Business Administration and minored in Asian Studies. I also played NCAA baseball, as well as trumpet for the school’s jazz band.

Through journal entries, photos, and videos, A Walk in Japan provides sections on culture, food, and travel.   Hopefully, this site can better connect my adventures to friends and family back home, as well as provide helpful information regarding Japan for tourists and JET applicants. Thanks for visiting my site designed to cover my experience in Japan. If you ever have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to me.
